Prayer: A Willing Hand

Freeimages.com/eyebiz-34872When working with Spirit, it is important to acknowledge the Spirit World and the work they do, as well as to thank them. The easiest way to do this is through prayer, and in the 1920s Spirit channeled a closing prayer to great-grandfather, Herbert Fear. This prayer has been used for generations to thank the Spirit World and to close a session. I continue this tradition, by closing all connections with this beautiful prayer. My grandfather, Kenneth Fear, adapted it slightly by adding the lines a full heart to love completely and nighty-nighty-nighty-night.

This prayer also includes hand actions which have been described below.
At my grandfather's funeral, the members of the closed-circle, which he was sat in, were invited to say their final goodbyes. We stood around his coffin in a circle and said this prayer, as his coffin was being lowered, as a final sign of respect and love for the teachings he gave us all. When I pass away to the Spirit World, I too would like this to happen at my funeral.

A Willing Hand

A willing hand to work for the good of humanity,
Hold hand out flat in front of you, facing up

A clear head to think correctly,
Place hand held out onto the top of your head

A full heart to love completely,
Place both hands on heart

As we depart with love to all and malice to none,
Hold both hands out in front of you, facing up, as if offering love

God bless you all,
Place hands in prayer position

Nighty-nighty-nighty-night,
Wave in a circular motion, waving fingers, as if to bid goodbye to the spirits all around you

Amen
